Temporary Relocation – Ystradgynlais Library

Seven weeks after the temporary relocation of Ystradgynlais Library to the Welfare Hall, the library building has been transformed thanks to a refurbishment grant from the Welsh Government. The solar panels have been installed, and so have the skylights, and the new ceiling will be in place any day now. The old library counter has been removed, ready for the fantastic new heritage area, and the fixed shelving has gone to allow for a more flexible space for visitors. There is a beautiful new double door to give easier access to the garden, where extra hard standing is in the process of being laid to increase the amount of seating, and the volunteer gardeners are delighted that they now have an outside tap!
